We are always on the lookout for highly motivated postdoctoral fellows, Ph.D. students, master students, and research assistants interested in working on cutting-edge problems in computational electromagnetics and full-wave inversion. Interested applicants with an aptitude for fundamental research are encouraged to contact Prof. Han with a CV.

Postdoctoral Fellow Positions

1. Recruitment Plan
(1) Research areas: Computational electromagnetics, microwave imaging, electromagnetic full-wave inversion, geophysical exploration, etc.
(2) Postdoctoral quota: no restrict.

2. Requirements
(1) The applicant is usually not more than 35 years old and is about to obtain or has obtained a Ph.D. degree in the past three years;
(2) The applicant has a good academic background and strong independent scientific research ability and preferably has published papers in high-level journals, e.g. IEEE TAP, IEEE TMTT, IEEE TGRS, and GJI, as the first author;
(3) The applicant has a strong ability to derive mathematical formulas and program computational electromagnetics code, e.g. fortran, matlab, python, etc., and also can assist the advisor in supervising master students;
(4) The applicant has good English reading and writing skills and good teamwork communication and coordination skills.

3. Salary
(1) The annual salary before tax is about 350,000-500,000 CNY which includes the local government postdoctoral living allowance;
(2) During the station, you are supported to apply for research funding from China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and National Natural Science Youth Foundation;
(3) Postdoctoral fellows who stay in Dongguan to work after leaving the station can enjoy subsidies of up to 500,000 CNY.

Ph.D. Positions

1. Recruitment plan

2. Ph.D. Programs
(1) Ph.D. students are jointly trained by Great Bay University and Harbin Institute of Technology or Sun Yat-sen University and will be awarded Ph.D. degrees from one of these two universities after graduation;

3. Training Mode
(1) Ph.D. students are required to register their academic status at Harbin Institute of Technology or Sun Yat-sen University. In the first year, they study the courses at one of these two universities;
(2) Since the second year, they are required to be fully engaged in scientific research related to academic dissertations at Great Bay University. Ph.D. students who meet the graduation and degree conditions of Harbin Institute of Technology or Sun Yat-sen University will be awarded the Ph.D. degree by one of these two universities;
(3) In the first year of the course studying, Harbin Institute of Technology or Sun Yat-sen University will provide accommodation. Beginning in the second year, Great Bay University will provide accommodation, laboratories, and work offices;
(4) In order to stimulate scientific research and innovation enthusiasm, we offer competitive scholarships and grants for joint Ph.D. students during their studies.

4. Materials Required for Ph.D. Application

Master Students

1. Recruitment plan
(1) Microwave imaging, electromagnetic full-wave inversion, physics-constrained neural networks, etc.
(2) Master quota: 2-3 per year.

2. Training Mode
(1) Master students study their courses at the South University of Science and Technology of China in the first year;
(2) Master students are required to conduct scientific research related to electromagnetic imaging at Great Bay University from the second year;
(3) Master students are required to publish at least one IEEE Trans. paper or two IEEE letter papers before graduation;
(4) Master students are allowed internships after the paper manuscripts are submitted.

Research Assistant Recruitment

1. Recruitment plan
(1) Computational electromagnetics, microwave imaging, electromagnetic full-wave inversion, geophysical exploration, etc.
(2) Research assistant quota: no restrict.

2. Job Responsibilities
(1) Assist the lab PI, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in scientific research;
(2) Participate in laboratory scientific research projects.

3. Application Conditions
(1) The applicant must hold a Master's or Ph.D. degree;
(2) The applicant has research experience related to computational electromagnetics, full-wave inversion, neural network design, etc.
(3) The applicant has a strong ability to derive mathematical formulas and program computational electromagnetics code, e.g. fortran, matlab, python, etc.
(4) The applicant has good English reading and communication skills and strong teamwork skills.

4. Benefits
(1) Monthly salary before tax ranges from 3000 to 8000 CNY;
(2) Excellent assistants will be recommended to apply to Ph.D. or postdoctoral fellows.
